Bamboo Sushi is a restaurant of purpose committed to delivering an inspiring and meaningful dining experience through exceptional food, service, and spirit. Located in Seattle at 2675 NE University Village Lane, Bamboo Sushi is a pioneer in sustainable dining, blending innovative sushi cuisine with a clear mission to support environmental stewardship and social responsibility. As a company, Bamboo Sushi is deeply dedicated to creating a positive impact not only through its menu offerings but also through its operations and community engagement. The restaurant values inclusivity, diversity, and equality, striving to build a workplace where every employee feels valued and empowered.

The Assistant General Manager role at Bamboo Sushi offers an exciting leadership opportunity within a dynamic, upscale restaurant environment. This full-time position calls for a passionate and experienced professional to oversee daily operations and ensure that the restaurant delivers operational excellence and an exceptional guest experience. With a competitive starting salary of $80,168 per year plus a 10% bonus potential, the role promises both financial rewards and meaningful career growth. Bamboo Sushi also supports its team with great benefits including health and life insurance options, a robust employee assistance program, paid vacation time up to three weeks for early years, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee discounts, and opportunities for advancement and education within the company.

The Assistant General Manager is entrusted with a broad scope of responsibilities that include promoting a culture of positivity and accountability, managing all facets of restaurant and bar operations, supporting administrative and facilities tasks, and providing leadership and direction to team members. This role requires a committed individual capable of hiring, training, and developing employees to uphold Bamboo Sushi’s high standards in food quality and service. Critical to success is the ability to maintain knowledge of quality control points for menu items, supervise timely food delivery, and uphold safety and compliance regulations such as holding a valid Food Handlers Card and Beverage Permit. Experience in an upscale concept is preferred, with at least two years in food and beverage and six months in a supervisory or management role expected.

Working at Bamboo Sushi means being part of a culture that actively values and promotes inclusivity, respect, and equal opportunity. The restaurant emphasizes a respectful and inspiring environment where all employees can thrive. Bamboo Sushi makes continual efforts towards equality in pay, rights, and advancement opportunities, contributing to a supportive and engaging workplace. The physical work environment is fast-paced and sometimes noisy, demanding flexibility and stamina from the Assistant General Manager. This role requires occasional physical activity including maneuvering within the restaurant, operating equipment, and engaging in clear communication with customers and staff alike.

Joining Bamboo Sushi as an Assistant General Manager means more than managing restaurant operations; it means joining a community with a clear mission and contributing to a vibrant and sustainable future while advancing your career in hospitality management.
