Job Description
This opportunity arises at Taco Bell, a globally recognized fast-food restaurant known for its innovative Mexican-inspired menu and vibrant brand culture. Taco Bell operates hundreds of outlets worldwide, committed to delivering memorable dining experiences for customers with a focus on quality, consistency, and community engagement. Renowned for its dynamic work environment, Taco Bell invests heavily in team development, offering extensive training, leadership opportunities, and advancement prospects within the company. As a restaurant under one of the largest quick-service restaurant chains, Taco Bell prides itself on creating inclusive and motivating workplace settings that promote growth and embrace diversity.
The role of Assistant General Manager at Taco Bell is pivotal to the success and smooth operation of the restaurant. This position serves as the second-in-command, supporting the General Manager in all facets of daily operations to ensure the restaurant meets its performance, customer service, and financial goals. The Assistant General Manager is the backbone of the restaurant management team, tasked with upholding brand standards and leading by example to inspire and cultivate a productive team environment. The position demands a versatile leader capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously, including employee training, conflict resolution, operational oversight, and financial management.
In this role, you will be challenged to maintain high standards of food safety, customer service, and cleanliness, ensuring every customer interaction is positive and consistent with the brand's reputation. The dynamic nature of the role involves stepping into the General Manager's responsibilities during their absence, requiring sound decision-making and an ability to drive the team towards achieving excellence and operational efficiency. You will actively participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new team members, fostering an equitable and inclusive culture within the restaurant. Your leadership will be instrumental in recognizing and motivating employees, encouraging collaboration, and ensuring that the workplace is both professional and enjoyable.
The Assistant General Manager is also heavily involved in the financial stewardship of the restaurant. This includes assisting with Profit and Loss management — overseeing cash controls, security measures, inventory management, labor costs, and reviewing financial reports to make informed operational decisions that optimize restaurant performance. Additionally, you will support facility maintenance and health and safety compliance to create a safe working environment.
With a work schedule comprising 50 hours per week (40 hours at regular pay and 10 hours at time-and-a-half), this role offers both a balanced work-life experience and a competitive salary range of $48,000 to $60,000 annually, depending on location and experience. Taco Bell emphasizes a work-hard, play-hard culture, underscored by a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, career development opportunities, medical benefits starting from day one, and unique perks like discounts on various personal expenses and sustainable initiatives. This role is designed for motivated individuals eager to step into a leadership position within a fast-paced and rewarding environment, with clear pathways for professional growth and development.
