We are currently seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our team, ideally someone with experience in fine dining or Michelin-starred environments who shares our passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. This full-time role places you in a proactive and enthusiastic leadership position where your personality and leadership skills will be essential to fostering a warm and memorable experience for guests. You will work closely with the management team to oversee the front of house team’s overall performance, manage financials, recruitment, staff training, stock management, and health and safety compliance.

As Assistant General Manager, your responsibilities will encompass hands-on leadership, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining the highest standards of service. This role demands someone who is organized, attentive to detail, and passionate about hospitality. You will not only manage and inspire a large restaurant team but also engage directly with guests to ensure they receive an outstanding level of care. Job Requirements

  • Experience in a similar assistant general manager role within fine dining or Michelin-starred restaurants
  • Hands-on leadership and management skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations
  • Ability to manage financials, recruitment, and team development
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Previous experience as an assistant general manager in a fine dining or Michelin starred restaurant

Job Duties

  • Overseeing a large restaurant team and ensuring the running of a smooth service
  • Welcoming and attending to guests with an exceptional level of care and service, ensuring that they leave with a positive and memorable experience
  • Inspiring, motivating and training waiting staff to deliver the highest levels of service
  • Carrying out all opening and closing procedures
  • Managing financials including budgets and cost control
  • Leading recruitment and development of front-of-house team members
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
