Job Description

Border Foods started as a simple idea shared between two brothers who dreamed of bringing authentic Mexican flavors to their community. Over time, this vision expanded, and Border Foods is now one of the largest privately held Taco Bell franchisees in America, operating numerous locations with a commitment to quality, community, and exceptional service. As a people-first company, Border Foods emphasizes a culture that values every team member, from cooks and cashiers to restaurant managers. Their mantra centers on living core values such as Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment. This dedication creates a welcoming, respectful, and supportive atmosphere where employees not only work but grow and thrive, while consistently delivering outstanding guest experiences.

The role of Assistant Manager at Border Foods is both critical and rewarding, grounded in these core values. Serving as a leader within the restaurant, the Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, fostering team collaboration, and ensuring that customers receive not only great food but also a friendly and efficient experience. This position involves building and maintaining a strong team that lives the company values every day through their work ethic and interactions with guests and coworkers alike. Assistant Managers are expected to uphold strict health and safety standards, maintain quality control, and execute effective scheduling while addressing any operational needs that arise.

This is a non-exempt management position designed for individuals who are dedicated to excellence and eager to contribute to a positive work environment where career growth is encouraged. Border Foods offers competitive pay ranging from $15 to $30 per hour along with an attractive bonus program that can add up to $20,000 annually for eligible Assistant General Managers. The company also supports continuing education with GED and tuition reimbursement programs plus scholarship opportunities to help employees invest in their futures.

Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage available even to part-time workers, free food during shifts, paid vacation, sick leave, holiday pay, and a unique vacation donation program. What truly sets Border Foods apart is its inclusive company culture that encourages learning, leadership development, and team empowerment, creating a healthy environment for all employees. If you are passionate about leadership in hospitality and want to be part of a family-oriented and growth-focused franchisee, this Assistant Manager role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while advancing your career.
