The role of Assistant Manager at Border Foods is pivotal in upholding these values while managing daily restaurant operations. This position requires leadership that drives a team towards consistently delivering fast, friendly service paired with high-quality food. The Assistant Manager is responsible for enforcing Border Foods' core principles by creating an environment that nurtures positive life experiences for both employees and customers. They oversee the entire restaurant operation and work to build a strong, cohesive team capable of providing an exceptional dining experience. Compensation for this role ranges from $14 to $35 per hour, reflecting both the responsibilities and the opportunity for bonuses. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one years experience in restaurant or retail or combined education and experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early morning, evenings, late night, weekends and some holidays
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
  • ServeSafe certified
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work a minimum of 50 hours per week

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one years restaurant or retail experience or combined education and experience
  • Experience with sales building, profit and loss statements, recruiting, and training
  • Proven track record of successful hiring and retention
  • ServeSafe certified
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
  • Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
  • At least 18 years of age

Job Duties

  • Reinforce Border Foods core values including accountability, integrity, family, excellence, teamwork, and empowerment
  • Guide team members and shift leaders to complete assigned duties and serve safe, quality food in a friendly manner
  • Schedule and deploy team members ensuring performance standards and customer service expectations are met
  • Maintain point of sale system accuracy and report system failures
  • Ensure health and safety standards are consistently met and comply with local, state, and federal laws
  • Build cross-functional team relationships and resolve employee issues promptly
  • Motivate and support the team through effective communication and active listening
