Job Description

Border Foods began as a humble idea between two brothers to open a Mexican restaurant, and over time, it has blossomed into one of the largest privately held Taco Bell franchisees in America. This remarkable growth is a testament to the company’s dedication to strong values and a people-first approach. Border Foods is not just focused on serving great food; it builds a family-oriented culture where employees at every level, from cooks and cashiers to restaurant managers and beyond, are empowered to learn, evolve, and contribute meaningfully to the company’s mission of making lives better. The company prides itself on fostering an environment where teamwork, integrity, accountability, and excellence are more than just buzzwords—they form the core values that guide every action and decision within the business.

Working at Border Foods means joining a supportive culture that places an emphasis on employee development and guest satisfaction. The company is committed to providing safe, welcoming, and nurturing environments for both team members and customers, helping each individual to thrive professionally and personally. With comprehensive benefits, including flexible scheduling, competitive pay, bonus opportunities, education assistance programs, and medical benefits even for part-time employees, Border Foods offers a rewarding work experience that emphasizes career growth and job satisfaction.

The Assistant Manager role at Border Foods is a pivotal position that upholds and reinforces the company’s core values of Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment. This leadership role combines operational responsibility with team development, creating a restaurant atmosphere that consistently delivers exceptional food and customer service. The Assistant Manager ensures the smooth running of the entire restaurant, from overseeing daily operations and managing staff to driving sales and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This position is not just about managing a restaurant but making a positive impact on the employee and guest experiences by fostering a positive culture and building a unified, motivated team.

As an Assistant Manager, you will directly contribute to Border Foods’ mission by creating opportunities that make the lives of employees and customers better. You will plan short and long-term strategies for restaurant success, analyze profit and loss statements to guide financial decisions, and manage labor and inventory effectively to minimize loss and maximize efficiency. You will also lead the recruitment, hiring, orientation, and ongoing training of team members, ensuring that every employee feels supported and equipped to excel.

With flexible scheduling, potential for significant bonus income, education and scholarship programs, and robust medical/dental/vision benefits, this role offers a comprehensive package that supports both professional and personal well-being. At Border Foods, your leadership, dedication, and passion for hospitality can grow into a fulfilling career within a company that cares deeply about its people and its community.
