In terms of guest experience, the Assistant General Manager helps create an atmosphere characterized by fresh, friendly, and fast service that not only meets but exceeds guest expectations. Acting as a role model and coach, the incumbent will engage the team in delivering WOW service and resolving any guest feedback quickly to maintain high satisfaction levels. Observing operations from the guest perspective and making necessary adjustments to improve service quality are key duties.
As a brand champion, the Assistant General Manager supports local marketing efforts, promotional events, and company-wide initiatives. Business planning is another critical area, balancing employee and guest experiences with financial goals. Responsibilities include executing Krystal’s operating systems, developing sales forecasts, managing schedules, reviewing inventory and food costs, monitoring business metrics, and maintaining cleanliness and service standards.
Additionally, the role demands ensuring the restaurant facility is safe, sanitary, and appealing by assisting with compliance to health, safety, cleanliness, security, and fire regulations. Troubleshooting equipment issues and maintaining a well-functioning environment are also part of the job.
This role requires excellent people leadership and guest service skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication capabilities to interact effectively with guests, team members, and senior leaders. The position requires availability across all shifts, including weekends and holidays. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and perform physical tasks related to product preparation and inventory management.

- control food and equipment inventory, conduct inventory counts and keep records
- implement and follow up on operations and financial action plans
