Job Description

Our company is a dynamic and customer-focused organization committed to delivering outstanding service and quality in the hospitality industry. We pride ourselves on cultivating a team-oriented, positive, and supportive work environment where leadership and employee growth are nurtured. As a well-established company, we place a strong emphasis on maintaining high standards of operational excellence and customer satisfaction through dedicated and proactive management. Our team consists of dedicated professionals who collaborate to create memorable guest experiences and drive business success. Joining us means becoming a part of a company that values its employees and provides opportunities for career advancement and skill development.

The role of Assistant General Manager (AGM) is a pivotal leadership position within our company, responsible for supporting the General Manager and leading through example in alignment with the company's vision and values. The AGM role requires hands-on leadership to ensure that every shift runs smoothly and efficiently with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences. The position demands a strong, positive, and vocal leader who can communicate effectively, motivate the team, and enforce company Standards consistently. Assistant General Managers are expected to be flexible with scheduling, working forty-hour weeks that align with the General Manager's scheduling guidelines.

Key responsibilities of the AGM include leading shift operations by managing labor costs, minimizing food waste, ensuring recipe accuracy, and maintaining speed and quality of service while keeping the environment clean and productive. AGMs will also play an important part in schedule writing, utilizing forecasting and scheduling skills to optimize labor and uphold great guest experiences. Training support is another integral duty, whereby the AGM coordinates with Certified Trainers and assists in validating team member skills.

Furthermore, AGM duties extend to the hiring process, where they assist with initial interviews and provide qualified feedback on candidates, ensuring the recruitment of talented individuals. Cash handling responsibilities include managing deposits, drawer counts, and petty cash transactions during shifts, maintaining strict accountability. Inventory control and supply ordering, in partnership with the General Manager, are key for maintaining accurate stock levels and par levels.

AGMs gain expertise in financial management by understanding food, labor, and supply costs to help keep the unit profitable and within budgeted margins. In addition to operational knowledge, Assistant General Managers will also deepen their understanding of unit operations including repairs and maintenance, budgeting, goal setting, personnel development, and profit and loss management. The role requires physical capability to lift up to 15-20 lbs for inventory handling and stocking, as well as proficiency with computers.

The position also requires compliance with background and credit checks, eligibility to work in the United States, possession of a valid driver's license, and a manager’s Food Safety Certificate. Bilingual candidates are considered a plus, reflecting our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Importantly, our company utilizes E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility of all newly hired employees. This ensures we maintain a lawful and compliant workforce. Overall, the Assistant General Manager position offers a challenging yet rewarding career path for motivated individuals ready to contribute to a thriving hospitality team and grow within a reputable company.
