Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a prominent player in the fast-casual restaurant industry, widely recognized for its commitment to serving responsibly sourced and authentically prepared food. Originating in the United States, Chipotle has expanded its footprint across North America and Europe with restaurants in countries including Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Unlike many large restaurant chains, Chipotle owns and operates all of its restaurants, allowing it to maintain strict standards for quality, service, and sustainability. This ownership model also enables Chipotle to lead innovation in food technology, digital services, and sustainable business practices. The company's mission, encapsulated in its tagline "Cultivate a Better World," reflects its dedication not only to offering delicious, real food free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives but also to supporting the future of farming and making better food accessible to everyone.

The role of Apprentices at Chipotle is designed as a developmental pathway for individuals aspiring to become General Managers. This is a fast-growing opportunity as Chipotle continues to open nearly a new restaurant every day. Apprentices assist in the daily operations of the restaurant, gaining practical experience in managing a high-volume food service environment. This full-time role involves hands-on learning in areas such as hiring and training team members, managing customer service to ensure a guest-obsessed experience, maintaining high operational standards, and overseeing digital orders and compliance with food safety protocols. Apprentices will also develop essential leadership skills, including scheduling, profit and loss management, sales forecasting, recruiting, and interviewing, all crucial for running a successful restaurant.

Chipotle values passion, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to grow. Apprentices should bring a guest-obsessed approach to hospitality and a commitment to personal and professional development. The physical demands of the role are significant, including the ability to stand and walk for long shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various temperature conditions typical of a kitchen environment. The apprenticeship not only offers the potential for career advancement but also supports continuous learning through tuition assistance (subject to eligibility), a quarterly bonus program, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plans, paid time off, and holiday closures.

Joining Chipotle means becoming part of a people-first company that champions diversity, equity, and inclusion at all organizational levels. Chipotle's culture fosters an environment where all employees are respected and valued for their unique contributions. The company also complies fully with the Americans with Disabilities Act and related laws, providing accommodations during the hiring process and employment to support individuals with disabilities. This Apprenticeship is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role in a forward-thinking company that combines a passion for food with strong values and a commitment to making a lasting positive impact on society and the environment.
