Currently, Crestline Hotels & Resorts is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join one of its dynamic multi-million dollar business units. This role is pivotal to ensuring the operational and financial success of the hotel while upholding the brand’s high standards for customer service and guest satisfaction. The Assistant General Manager will provide strong on-the-ground leadership in a fast-paced environment, working closely with the General Manager, hotel leadership team, and corporate support to drive operational excellence. As a key operational leader, the Assistant General Manager will champion the hotel’s operational goals and customer service philosophies. They will play a critical role in balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution—actively supporting General Manager efforts while cultivating team cohesion and maximizing the potential of direct reports. Success in this role involves maintaining the current market share, identifying and growing new business prospects, and skillfully engaging with internal leadership as well as external ownership and corporate partners. The Assistant General Manager will be expected to execute hotel brand standards that heighten guest satisfaction, manage accounts receivable and payable duties promptly, and actively participate in staff optimization and onboarding processes to foster a motivated, skilled, and guest-focused team.
This role not only provides considerable professional exposure but also collaborative support from Crestline’s corporate functions—including operations, sales and marketing, accounting, IT, and human resources—to help ensure the success of the hotel. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with relevant experience
- Minimum of one year related Assistant General Manager experience or three years in hospitality operations
- Proficient computer skills including email communication and data management
- Experience with hotel information systems
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of operational and financial hotel management processes
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with at least one year of related Assistant General Manager experience
- Or high school diploma or equivalent with at least three years of related experience
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively via email and manipulate data in spreadsheets and databases
- Experience with hotel information systems
- Preferred experience with Opera and M3 systems
- Proven operations management experience in select service or extended stay hotels
Job Duties
- Provide strong operational leadership and support to the General Manager to maintain and further hotel brand standards for guest satisfaction
- Execute accounts receivable and payable duties within the first 30 days
- Familiarize and participate actively in HR processes including new hire onboarding
- Develop and implement staff optimization plans to maximize team performance and service quality
- Balance strategic planning with hands-on operational execution on the hotel floor
- Collaborate effectively with hotel leadership, corporate staff, and ownership groups as needed
- Maintain and grow market share while identifying new business opportunities
