Job Description

Kessler Hospitality is a distinguished portfolio of artistically inspired boutique hotels known for their unique design, luxurious accommodations, enriching ambiance, and intuitive service. Established with properties located in Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina, Kessler Hospitality has set a high standard in the hospitality industry by blending exquisite art, music, and cultural influences into approachable and memorable experiences. Their hotels appeal to the individualist traveler who appreciates bold, original settings, whether it's a downtown icon, a premier luxury lodge, an entertainment destination in Savannah, or an elite ski resort. Kessler Hospitality proudly holds the distinction of being the founding member of the Marriott Autograph Collection, initially launched with seven branded hotels that exemplify style and distinctiveness tailored to each locale.

Located on the iconic Reedy River in downtown Greenville, South Carolina, the AAA Four Diamond Grand Bohemian Lodge stands as a beacon of Bohemian luxury infused with natural beauty and artistic expression. Guests of this boutique lodge enjoy an intimate experience surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, earth-inspired décor including chandeliers and a wine room, and majestic balconies that frame stunning views. The hotel offers a variety of amenities including an outdoor bar and restaurant named Between the Trees, a manicured event lawn, an onsite spa, a fitness center, an art gallery, and hiking trails to immerse guests deeply in the destination's offerings.

The role of Assistant Front Office Manager at the Grand Bohemian Lodge is essential to maintaining the high standards of the Front Office operations. This position demands an attentive, friendly, efficient, and courteous approach to guest service from arrival to departure, ensuring each guest's stay is exceptional. The Assistant Manager plays a vital role in optimizing room revenue and occupancy, working collaboratively with Sales and Reservations teams to fulfill special requests for groups and VIP guests. Additional responsibilities include leading guest service training for the front office team, managing daily guest reception duties, handling social media feedback, maintaining guest profiles, and coordinating with other departments such as Food and Beverage to ensure a seamless guest experience.

This position requires a capable leader who can supervise shifts, hire and train guest service agents, and oversee day-to-day financial operations including maintaining the house bank and reconciling daily receipts. The Assistant Front Office Manager must be proactive and guest-centric, solving guest complaints amicably while communicating effectively with hotel management. The role involves multitasking in a fast-paced environment with a warm and professional demeanor, and it requires a strong knowledge of local attractions and services to enhance guest satisfaction. The Assistant Manager also plays an important part in emergency procedures and contributes to fostering a cohesive team environment by staying informed and communicating efficiently.

This full-time role requires a four-year college degree and a minimum of one year of related supervisory experience, with preference given to candidates experienced with labor management and OPERA systems. The position involves physically standing throughout shifts, including two overnight shifts, and requires proficiency with Windows applications and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing software. Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective listening abilities, and competency in handling complex information to meet hotel objectives. A consistent display of professionalism, personal grooming, and adherence to company standards is mandatory.

Joining Kessler Hospitality as an Assistant Front Office Manager provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to a reputable boutique hotel brand that values artistry, luxury, and personalized guest service. This role is perfect for those passionate about hospitality leadership, eager to engage with diverse guests and colleagues while supporting the distinctive culture and service excellence that define the Grand Bohemian Lodge experience.
