The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager position at The Seabird Resort is an exciting opportunity for experienced hospitality professionals seeking to join a dynamic team. This role primarily oversees the banquet operations within the food and beverage department, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery that aligns with department strategies and brand standards. Reporting to the Director of Banquets, the Assistant Manager will also manage payroll for their department, coordinate special events, and support other food and beverage outlets as business needs dictate. The role demands strong communication and analytical skills, with an emphasis on cost control and operational effectiveness to meet financial goals.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $70,304 to $79,400, reflecting factors such as education and experience. The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the high quality of guest experiences through attentive service management, staff development, and operational oversight. Responsibilities include scheduling, forecasting, training employees, and ensuring compliance with a variety of federal, state, and local regulations concerning health, safety, and labor. The role also requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-end hospitality environment.
In addition to operational duties, this position engages closely with other departments, including culinary and stewarding teams, to coordinate event readiness and uphold the resort’s standards for food, service, and presentation. The Assistant Manager contributes to creating a warm, humble, and knowledgeable atmosphere that enhances guest satisfaction and strengthens the resort’s reputation.

Job Qualifications
- 5 years of related food, beverage and/or service management experience in a banquet or dining atmosphere
- commitment to quality, excellence, and genuine hospitality
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- relevant experience in high-end hospitality or restaurant operations
- strong computer competency including MS Office, POS, PMS, and booking systems such as OpenTable or Sevenrooms
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- creative problem-solving and critical decision-making skills
- ability to work collaboratively across organizational teams
Job Duties
