We are currently seeking a dedicated Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our dynamic team. This role will primarily focus on managing the Banquet department within the hotel's food and beverage operations. The position offers a competitive salary range between $70,304 and $79,400, reflecting the candidate's experience and educational background. As Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, the successful candidate will oversee scheduling, forecasting, and employee training to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws, along with all standard operating procedures. The role includes payroll responsibilities for the banquet department and occasionally supporting other food and beverage outlets according to business needs. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills and a keen understanding of food and beverage cost controls. The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager will be instrumental in curating exceptional guest experiences, managing successful banquet events, and ensuring operational excellence and financial success within the department. Furthermore, this role coordinates closely with restaurant and outlet operations to deliver a seamless service environment, enhancing guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Job Requirements

  • education in hospitality or related field preferred
  • 5+ years food and beverage management experience
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to manage schedules and payroll
  • food and beverage cost control experience helpful
  • ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • lift up to 40 pounds
  • ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods
  • able to bend, lift, carry, reach above shoulder height, climb stairs

  • computer literacy including booking and POS systems

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related food, beverage and/or service management experience in banquets/dining atmosphere preferred
  • commitment to quality, excellence, and genuine hospitality
  • highly organized, self-motivated, and flexible with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to listen, communicate, and make connections
  • relevant experience in high-end hospitality/restaurant operations
  • excellent computer competency including MS Office, POS, PMS, and booking programs
  • ability to work with confidential information
  • person of integrity, fair and consistent
  • creative problem-solving and critical decision-making skills
  • ability to work collaboratively across the organization
  • extensive knowledge of Seabird cuisine and its surrounding areas including history and wines
  • must have open availability

Job Duties

  • Support efficient running of banquet and outlets in line with department strategies and brand standards
  • manage assigned outlet as a successful profit center ensuring maximum guest satisfaction
  • support Director of Banquets with budget and financial success
  • provide warm, humble, and knowledgeable service throughout property
  • liaise with restaurant and outlet operations staff for seamless guest experiences
  • assist with curation of guest experience on and off property
  • attend daily briefings and departmental meetings
