The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager role at Grand Hyatt Indian Wells is a pivotal position overseeing multiple dining outlets within the resort. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $71,000 to $80,000, with the final pay determined by the candidate's experience and education. The manager will play an essential role in ensuring that all food and beverage operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations and Hyatt’s operational procedures. Primary responsibilities include scheduling staff, forecasting needs, training team members, and coordinating special events, contributing to seamless service delivery and memorable guest experiences.

The role requires strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and analytical abilities to manage food and beverage cost control effectively. The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager works closely with outlet managers, culinary teams, events coordinators, and front-of-house staff to maintain Hyatt's brand standards of excellence across all guest touchpoints. Daily operations span several dining outlets such as Camino Springs Market, Vista Square Kitchen, The Well bar, Palmadoro’s, and In-Room Dining services.

This position is ideal for candidates with at least two years of management experience in food and beverage within hotel or luxury hospitality environments. The ability to motivate a team, organize flexible schedules, and lead by example are critical to fostering a positive and engaged team culture. Additionally, experience with wine or beverage service in an upscale setting is preferred. Technical proficiency with software like Microsoft Word and Excel is also beneficial, along with knowledge of food and beverage cost control methods.

  • Assisting with daily operations across the resort's dining outlets including Camino Springs Market Vista Square Kitchen The Well bar Palmadoro's and In-Room Dining
  • Supporting outlet managers and supervisors in delivering consistent Hyatt service standards
  • Coaching and developing hourly colleagues to foster a positive engaged team culture
  • Partnering with culinary events and front-of-house teams to support seamless service and memorable guest experiences
  • Assisting with scheduling labor management and cost controls
  • Supporting new concepts seasonal activations and property-wide initiatives
  • Upholding Hyatt brand standards and reinforcing a culture of care across all guest touchpoints
