The role of the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at the Rizzo Center is a vital position within the hotel's food and beverage department. This role involves assisting with the oversight of various food and beverage operations to ensure the highest standards of service and efficiency. Key responsibilities include scheduling staff, forecasting operational needs, and providing comprehensive training to team members. The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager is also tasked with maintaining alcohol PAR levels, managing beverage inventory and ordering, and overseeing billing processes. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, along with Hyatt’s operating procedures, forms a critical part of this role. Additionally, the position involves coordinating special events within the hotel, from preparing and distributing captain’s reports to supervising event setup and cleanup.
This position demands strong communication and analytical skills, as well as experience in food and beverage cost control. Candidates with background knowledge in wine and beverage service are preferred. The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager must demonstrate strong organizational abilities and adaptability to a flexible work schedule, with a significant focus on evening and closing shifts. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience in food and beverage management or supervision
- Familiarity with food and beverage cost control
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
