The Assistant Floor Manager role is a full-time, hourly position that works closely under the supervision of the Floor Manager. The role typically involves working 8 to 10 hour shifts with opportunities for overtime, and compensation ranges from $15.75 to $16.28 per hour. This position is essential in ensuring that all available products on the warehouse floor are properly displayed, fresh, and compliant with the company’s strict freshness policies and HACCP guidelines. The Assistant Floor Manager is critical to maintaining an organized sales floor, developing productive relationships with customers, minimizing product loss, and ultimately driving sales performance.
This position demands a strong commitment to customer service, safety, and operational excellence. The Assistant Floor Manager is tasked with creating a pleasant and secure shopping environment by demonstrating teamwork, efficiency, and responsiveness. They must maintain complete knowledge of warehouse operations, including the safe and compliant use of all relevant equipment such as box cutters, knives, scales, compactors, and forklifts in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Their duties include assisting with product presentation, rotation, and labeling to uphold the company’s "Always Fresh" philosophy, as well as managing inventory levels through diligent cycle counting.
In addition to operational roles, the Assistant Floor Manager is involved in staff support activities such as assisting in interviewing, hiring, and scheduling, as well as upholding all legal and company regulations related to food safety, theft prevention, and workplace conduct. Candidates for this role are expected to communicate effectively with customers and team members, exhibit strong leadership potential by developing and training team members, and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety throughout the warehouse.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks including walking/standing on concrete for up to 10 hours a day
- ability to frequently lift/carry objects over 60 lbs
- ability to frequently push/pull objects weighing 500 to 1,500 lbs
- ability to work in cold and freezing temperatures
- ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and follow OSHA guidelines
- experience in warehouse or retail operations preferred
- ability to work full-time, hourly with flexible shifts including overtime
- must comply with all company policies and safety regulations
