Slow Jams has successfully carved out a niche in the nightlife and events space by prioritizing the guest experience, ensuring everyone enjoys an unforgettable evening filled with rhythm, connection, and community.

Slow Jams is currently seeking an Assistant Events Manager to join their energetic team and support the planning, promotion, and execution of their popular events. This role is vital in maintaining the quality and smooth flow of Slow Jams gatherings, which have become highly anticipated social occasions. The Assistant Events Manager will work closely with event coordinators, venues, vendors, and marketing teams to ensure every detail is handled meticulously and every event runs seamlessly. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys juggling multiple responsibilities effectively. The position is event-based, with compensation starting from $400.00 per day, reflecting the importance of the role at each event. The successful candidate must be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational and communication skills to handle the diverse duties that come with managing vibrant nightlife events. This role requires in-person attendance on event days, including evenings and weekends, to provide hands-on support and leadership on-site throughout event setup, execution, and breakdown. Job Requirements

  • Availability to work on-site on event days, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic proficiency in video editing software such as CapCut
  • Familiarity with ticketing platforms and marketing tools
  • Prior experience in events or hospitality
  • Detail-oriented and proactive in communication

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience working within events, nightlife, festivals, or hospitality is preferred
  • Prior experience in event marketing, particularly paid event marketing campaigns
  • Strong understanding of ticketing platforms such as Eventbrite
  • Experience working with MailChimp and other marketing tools
  • Experience in social media management with a background in paid social media advertising
  • Proficiency in CapCut and basic video editing

Job Duties

  • Assist in the planning, promotion, and execution of upcoming Slow Jams events
  • Provide on-site support during Slow Jams events, including event setup, team coordination, and breakdown as needed
  • Coordinate with team members, venues, vendors, suppliers, and event partners as needed
  • Assist with event marketing, including paid campaigns, email marketing, social media promotion, and ticketing platform updates
  • Manage Slow Jams social media accounts
