The position available is for an Assistant Director within the Ticket Office, a key role responsible for maintaining and managing the computer ticketing systems essential for smooth event operations. This role involves training employees on the functionalities of the ticketing system, ensuring that manifest creation in the Archtics platform is accurate, and managing the creation of sporting events on the Ticketmaster Host system. The Assistant Director oversees multiple sports ticket operations, providing support and assistance to other ticket office employees for their respective assigned sports. Beyond technical responsibilities, this leadership position requires recruiting, hiring, training, and managing hourly OPS staff to maintain high-quality service delivery. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization
- two years of progressively responsible ticketing experience
- one year of cash handling experience
- knowledgeable of Microsoft applications and ticket system software
- ability to work a non-standard work week including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- strong communication and customer service skills
- organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- independent thinker with strong analytics skills
- ability to multitask effectively
- ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization
- two years of progressively responsible ticketing experience
- one year of cash handling experience
- knowledgeable of Microsoft applications and ticket system software
- experience in an intercollegiate or professional athletic environment
- experience with Salesforce CRM, Ticketmaster Archtics, and Ticketmaster Host system
- equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of listed requirement
Job Duties
- Maintain the Ticket Office computer ticketing systems
- train employees on the functionality of the ticketing system
- build and create all manifests in Archtics
- create assigned sport(s) events on the Ticketmaster Host system
- oversee multiple sports/ticket operations
- assist with ticket operations for assigned sport(s)
- recruit, hire, train, and manage hourly OPS staff
- coordinate day-to-day operations within the Ticket Office
