Marriott International, the parent company, is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace, actively valuing the diverse backgrounds, talents, and experiences of all its associates. The organization embraces equal opportunity employment, ensuring non-discrimination on any protected basis including disability and veteran status.
The role available is a full-time, management position based at 6000 W Osceola Parkway, Kissimmee, Florida. This role is integral to the smooth operation and overall success of the housekeeping department within the hotel. With an annual pay range of $83,000 to $103,000 and eligibility for bonuses, this position offers a competitive compensation package along with relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
The Housekeeping Manager will play a vital role in overseeing the daily functions and personnel of the housekeeping team to guarantee that guest rooms, public spaces, and employee areas are impeccably maintained and clean. This leadership position requires working closely with staff to efficiently manage housekeeping operations while achieving the property’s financial objectives and ensuring both guest and employee satisfaction are prioritized.
Key responsibilities include direct supervision of housekeeping staff, conducting inspections, inventory management to maintain adequate supply levels, and executing daily shift operations while adhering to all housekeeping policies, standards, and procedures. The Housekeeping Manager is tasked with reviewing and adjusting staffing levels in response to operational demands and budgetary constraints, and ensuring that all employees are properly equipped with necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
Beyond operational management, the Housekeeping Manager must foster strong team collaboration and communication. Leading departmental meetings to communicate goals clearly and consistently, as well as addressing feedback from employees, form an essential part of the leadership duties. The role requires an open-door policy, ensuring employee relations are positive, disciplinary actions are handled fairly, and employee training and development needs are met.
Customer service excellence is another critical aspect of this position. The manager sets a positive example for guest relations, empowers staff to deliver outstanding service, and actively participates in developing corrective action plans to drive continuous improvement in guest satisfaction. Handling guest complaints with professionalism and striving to enhance service performance is expected.
