The Village at Gainesville is a vibrant and welcoming senior living community located on a sprawling 104-acre campus in Gainesville, Florida. Known for its excellent quality of life and proximity to local amenities such as shopping centers, theaters, and a variety of dining options, The Village offers a supportive environment where both residents and staff thrive. The community is conveniently close to the University of Florida and Santa Fe College, positioning it in a lively and culturally rich area that is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live and work in the United States. With a strong commitment to quality care and hospitality, The Village at Gainesville specializes in creating a home-like atmosphere tailored to the needs of older adults, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being every day.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Dining Services Manager to join our family and support the continued success of our dining program. This key leadership role plays an essential part in maintaining exceptional dining service standards, managing daily operations, and fostering a culture centered on hospitality and resident satisfaction. The Assistant Dining Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the dining staff for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, ensuring that food quality, presentation, and safety meet the highest standards. This position also serves as the primary liaison for Tower Club events, coordinating closely with the Retail and Events Manager to ensure seamless event execution, from staffing assignments to venue setup and post-event breakdowns.

In addition to managing routine dining services, this role assumes leadership responsibilities by providing coaching, recruitment support, performance evaluations, and handling any employee disciplinary actions when necessary. The Assistant Dining Services Manager acts as the lead in the absence of the Dining Services Manager and actively participates in departmental meetings and training sessions to remain aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. This role demands a strong commitment to customer service, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team effectively. If you have a passion for hospitality and a desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to grow your career within a supportive and dynamic environment.
