Job Requirements

  • Two years of experience in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Prior experience in supervisory or leadership role in a kitchen is preferred
  • Background in Italian cuisine and familiar with making pastas and sauces from scratch
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Conduct training for master cooks, cooks, pantry workers and helpers on job responsibilities
  • Label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
  • Create, read, measure, and execute recipes
  • Maintain an exceptional menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
  • Ensure food quality is superior and take action to correct any irregularities
  • Communicate with management and service staff and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees
  • Assist executive chef by controlling purchasing, receiving, purveyor lists and inventory of all kitchen items
  • Prepare and administer kitchen schedule, payroll, training, issuing discipline, and coaching
