This exciting opportunity is for the position of Assistant Beverage Manager at the Lounges within Mandalay Bay, one of MGM Resorts’ premier destinations. The role is designed for experienced beverage professionals or mixologists eager to advance their careers into management. As an Assistant Beverage Manager, you will oversee key operational tasks within the beverage department, working closely with your team to deliver premier customer service and maintain the high standards associated with the MGM Resorts brand. This position involves managing smooth day-to-day operations, including labor management, scheduling, inventory control, and guest service assessment. You will also play an essential role in enhancing the beverage program by developing innovative cocktail menus that reflect both the creativity and sophistication expected in a top-tier lounge environment.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Minimum 2 years of prior relevant beverage experience required
- Minimum 2 years of mixologist experience for a lounge or similar bar/nightlife environment preferred
- Previous experience as a manager in food and beverage preferred
- Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of prior relevant beverage experience
- Minimum 2 years of mixologist experience in a lounge or similar bar/nightlife environment preferred
- Previous experience as a manager in food and beverage preferred
- Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Job Duties
- Manage assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department
- Direct smooth, efficient, cost effective operation, including labor management, supervision of all aspects of services, scheduling and inventory control
- Manage delivery and measurement of guest service within assigned department(s) consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes
- Provide management support in the oversight of assigned shift to ensure the delivery of quality service to the guests
- Coordinate the requisition process and stocking of beverage outlets to maximize revenue for the division
- Provide guidance and counsel to beverage employees, ensure the staff is scheduled properly
- Provide recommendations to management on daily operational issues
