Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of two years retail grocery experience
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Outgoing and friendly demeanor
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment and tools
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Adherence to health and safety standards and maintain Food Handlers permit

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a minimum of two years retail grocery experience
  • Have two years supervisory experience
  • Dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Outgoing and friendly with a positive attitude
  • Good communication skills with the ability to give and take direction
  • Ability to answer phones and process special orders
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment including knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Ability to stand continuously for up to 3 hours, up to 8 hours per shift
  • Ability to lift and transfer items up to 40 pounds
  • Adhere to health, safety, and weight regulations
  • Maintain a valid Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

  • Assist the bakery manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
  • Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the bakery team
  • Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
  • Monitor incoming cases for damaged items
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of bakery products
  • Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate and maintain bakery equipment
  • Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations, and validate that other bakery team members are also following these procedures
