Job Description
Dorner Manufacturing, a Columbus McKinnon Organization, is an innovative leader in the engineering and manufacturing of precision conveyor systems and material handling solutions. As a subsidiary of Columbus McKinnon, a company with a rich history spanning nearly 150 years, Dorner Manufacturing benefits from the stability and extensive expertise of a well-established global organization committed to continuous growth, innovation, and superior quality. Columbus McKinnon is known worldwide for its intelligent motion solutions that safely and ergonomically move, lift, position, and secure materials across diverse commercial and industrial applications. Alongside its family of products including hoists, crane components, rigging tools, digital power, and motion control systems, the company is dedicated to improving lives through its cutting-edge designs and engineering excellence. Their mission revolves around not only leading the market but also fostering a culture that values diversity, inclusivity, and safety, supporting a drug-free work environment.
Dorner Manufacturing is currently expanding and seeking motivated individuals who strive for more than just a typical job. The company prides itself on cultivating a workplace culture that values work-life balance, open communication, and professional development. Employees benefit from a climate-controlled facility, supportive leadership, and a workplace designed to ensure safety and comfort. The organization offers a 4-day workweek schedule (Monday through Thursday, from 2:00 pm to 12:30 am), providing employees with additional rest and time for personal priorities. With a competitive hourly wage starting at $19 and an additional $2 per hour for second shift work, this role reflects the company’s appreciation for hard work and dedication.
The role is centered in the 3X built-to-order assembly area, where the primary focus is on assembling conveyors and their corresponding accessories. The individual will be responsible for testing assembled conveyors and preparing the final products for parcel freight shipments. This hands-on position requires precision, teamwork, and an adherence to safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment using principles like 5S. The position places emphasis on quality assurance, inspecting products for defects, and ensuring that each conveyor meets the company's rigorous standards before being packaged and shipped. This role is suited for individuals with mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading skills, and a willingness to adapt to changing job demands. Overall, this job offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute directly to the production of high-quality motion solutions while enjoying a supportive and growth-oriented environment at Dorner Manufacturing.
