Job Description

Buckley is a well-established company with over 56 years of experience providing the Northeast with top-quality HVAC equipment and product solutions. As a family-owned and operated business led by the second generation of the Buckley family, the company values teamwork, personal growth, and maintaining the core values set by its founder. Buckley partners with innovative manufacturers in the HVAC industry to deliver outstanding products and exceptional customer service, backed by knowledgeable subject matter experts. As a privately held business, Buckley emphasizes a close-knit, supportive work environment while continuing to grow and expand its offerings.

We are currently seeking an Assembler I (Insulated Flex-duct Operator) to join our manufacturing team. This is a non-exempt union position offering an hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $25.00, commensurate with experience, education, and relevant skills. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing General Manager, this role offers an excellent pathway for those looking to kickstart or advance their careers in insulated fabric flex fabrication. The position involves operating semi-automated machines to produce insulated fabric flex duct products, which are critical components in the HVAC industry.

The Assembler I will work hands-on with insulation materials, rolled sheet goods, and fiberglass insulation to produce high-quality flexible ducting products. Responsibilities include setting up and operating insulation flex machines, interpreting work orders, selecting appropriate equipment, loading insulation materials, regulating machine speeds, cutting materials to size, boxing finished products, and ensuring all products meet quality and size specifications. Additionally, this role sometimes supports buck-duct operations, including producing Buck Duct on specialized machines and handling rolled aluminum coils.

This role requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency. The position includes operating forklifts and hand trucks to manage materials and maintain inventory through cycle counts. The ability to lift 50 to 60 pounds and a safety-oriented mindset are crucial for success in this physically active role. Buckley supports its employees' development, providing a robust benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K, profit sharing, and generous paid time off.

Whether you are a recent graduate from a vocational or technical school program specializing in HVAC, welding, or sheet metal, or an experienced assembler or fabricator looking for stability and excellent benefits, this union-supported position provides an ideal platform to grow your career in the trades. At Buckley, you will find a team-focused culture that values your contributions and offers the opportunity to develop your skills in a thriving industry. Join us and be part of a trusted company that values dedication and craftsmanship.
