This particular position reports to the Production Supervisor and plays a vital role in supporting the manufacturing unit to meet production targets by adhering strictly to established systems and processes. The role is predominantly onsite, requiring physical presence to utilize machinery and equipment directly on the shop floor. Individuals in this position will demonstrate expertise in reading and interpreting technical diagrams, blueprints, and instructions essential for the assembly of complex products, systems, and panels. The work environment demands precision, coordination, and a hands-on approach, as you will be responsible for assembling products according to engineering specifications and work instructions with high attention to detail.
Daily responsibilities involve various technical tasks such as cutting, stripping, labeling, crimping, and terminating wires, as well as selecting and mounting hardware components on panels and cabinets using tools like drills, taps, and punches. Moreover, the role includes the operation of computers for schedule checks and updating manufacturing job statuses, ensuring accurate documentation throughout the production process. Job Duties
- assemble products by following engineering documents and work instructions
- operate computer to check schedules, update manufacturing status of jobs
- determine wire routing, cut, strip, label, crimp and terminate wire and secure bundles in accordance with engineering documentation
- select proper hardware, and as necessary, drill, tap, punch, cut to mount components in cabinets and on panels
- assist in the training of other employees, addressing and resolving inquiries and problems
- complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, reject tickets, etc.
- follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations, maintain departmental housekeeping standards
