Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it
- Successful completion and verification of background checks
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Capability to lift, push, or carry items up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 250 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and foot motions
- Willingness to work varied shifts
- Knowledge and adherence to safety and food handling regulations
- Ability to use bakery equipment safely
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of the job
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0-3 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication abilities
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and price guns
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Help in daily bakery department operations
- Promote and execute consistent and compliant operating conditions
- Offer fresh and attractive bakery products
- Provide courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service
- Create a welcoming environment to increase customer confidence and loyalty
- Ensure customer requests and special orders are met
- Maintain inventory accuracy and report discrepancies
- Inspect product quality and freshness
- Prepare, package, label, and display products for sale
- Use production planning tools to ensure fresh product availability
- Follow disposal and markdown procedures to reduce waste
- Ensure proper temperature control and maintain documentation
- Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and security standards
- Execute product recalls in a timely manner
- Promote teamwork and communicate company information
- Follow safety protocols and report unsafe conditions
- Notify management of incidents or illegal activities
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour policies
- Foster a safety culture and ensure proper safety training
- Use bakery equipment according to company guidelines
- Perform additional related tasks as assigned
