Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it
  • Successful completion and verification of background checks
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Capability to lift, push, or carry items up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 250 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and foot motions
  • Willingness to work varied shifts
  • Knowledge and adherence to safety and food handling regulations
  • Ability to use bakery equipment safely
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of the job
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 0-3 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication abilities
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and price guns
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • Help in daily bakery department operations
  • Promote and execute consistent and compliant operating conditions
  • Offer fresh and attractive bakery products
  • Provide courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service
  • Create a welcoming environment to increase customer confidence and loyalty
  • Ensure customer requests and special orders are met
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and report discrepancies
  • Inspect product quality and freshness
  • Prepare, package, label, and display products for sale
  • Use production planning tools to ensure fresh product availability
  • Follow disposal and markdown procedures to reduce waste
  • Ensure proper temperature control and maintain documentation
  • Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and security standards
  • Execute product recalls in a timely manner
  • Promote teamwork and communicate company information
  • Follow safety protocols and report unsafe conditions
  • Notify management of incidents or illegal activities
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour policies
  • Foster a safety culture and ensure proper safety training
  • Use bakery equipment according to company guidelines
  • Perform additional related tasks as assigned
