Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it
- Successful completion of background check
- Strong customer service skills
- Must operate bakery equipment safely and responsibly
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to handle physical demands including standing, walking, reaching, lifting, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing
- Willingness to work varied shifts including occasional night shifts
- Compliance with all safety and sanitation protocols
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Willingness to foster an inclusive and respectful work environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0-3 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and communication abilities
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and pricing guns according to company guidelines
- Ability to communicate in English, Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- Create a welcoming environment that makes customers feel valued and appreciated
- Ensure availability, freshness, quality, and value of bakery products on shelves
- Offer product samples and assist customers with product questions and suggestions
- Fulfill customer requests and special orders accurately
- Promote teamwork, collaboration, and communication among associates
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and company guidelines
- Monitor inventory and storage conditions, inspect product quality and freshness, and handle product preparation, packaging, labeling, and display
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and security standards
- Execute product recalls promptly and protect products from customer access
- Report safety hazards, accidents, and illegal activities to management
- Ensure associates follow all required safety training and use personal protective equipment properly
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
