The bakery specializes in fresh-milled grains and naturally leavened sourdough breads, alongside a variety of handcrafted pastries like cinnamon rolls, cookies, and muffins that are made from scratch using only the finest ingredients. This commitment to craftsmanship and quality has established Silo & Stone as a premier destination for artisan breads and pastries in the Dallas area. The work culture at Silo & Stone is rooted in passion for baking, teamwork, and continuous improvement, making it an inspiring place for bakers who want to apply and grow their skills.

The role advertised is for an Artisan Baker position with flexible hours ranging from part-time to full-time, preferably covering early morning shifts to ensure fresh baked goods are available to customers right at opening time. The position offers competitive pay between $18 to $22 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for growth and advancement into salaried positions as the business expands. This role is ideal for a skilled and dependable baker who values consistency, quality, and craftsmanship in artisan baking.

As an Artisan Baker at Silo & Stone, you will be responsible for preparing and baking naturally fermented sourdough breads as well as mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking a variety of breads and pastries. You will work daily with freshly milled flour and premium ingredients, following detailed recipes while contributing ideas to improve baking processes and production efficiency. Maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation is crucial in this role. You will also ensure that the workspace is clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards. Additional duties include assisting with inventory management, preparation, and planning daily production schedules to meet demand. This position demands an individual who is not only physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods but also someone who takes pride in their workmanship and supports a positive and collaborative kitchen environment.

At Silo & Stone, the Artisan Baker role provides a unique opportunity to work in a supportive, team-oriented setting where passion for traditional baking techniques is celebrated. Bakers will gain valuable experience handling natural fermentation, working with fresh milled flours, and crafting premium artisan pastries. If you believe that great bread begins with exceptional ingredients, patience, and careful craftsmanship and are motivated by a desire to be part of a growing and highly regarded bakery, this position offers an excellent platform for both professional and personal growth. Silo & Stone welcomes applicants who bring dedication, reliability, and enthusiasm to the art of baking.
