The role of Armed Security Officer at Allied Universal is a critical position responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the facilities under their protection. - 2+ years' armed security, law enforcement, or military experience
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer owned vehicle
- Prior security or related protective service experience
- Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state)
- Excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills
- able to articulate and write clear and concise incident or situation reports
- able to effectively convey information to the public, client representatives, and fellow employees
- Able to complete all range qualifications and functions
Job Duties
- Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information
- Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
- Preserve order and enforces rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site
- Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons
- Greet guests and employees, assisting where appropriate
- escort visitors and contractors, secure ingress and egress points, secure classified information
- Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders, reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication
- Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms
- act as a first responder in emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary
