AREA GENERAL MANAGER LODGING (ONSLOW BEACH)

The role involves managing a dynamic and diverse range of facilities and recreational offerings, including numerous cabins and cottages, RV parks, campgrounds, gazebos, conference rooms, and guarded open waters. The ideal candidate will have supervisory responsibilities over key staff members such as the Assistant General Manager and Maintenance Supervisor and will be instrumental in ensuring that the facilities meet or exceed cleanliness and entertainment standards.\n\nThe Onslow Beach area managed by this position is a hub for recreation and lodging, requiring comprehensive management skills in financial budgeting, daily operations, maintenance, and customer service excellence. The manager will be tasked with developing innovative policies and promotional activities to increase facility occupancy and profitability while providing high-quality guest experiences. Safety and security are paramount, and the manager will establish and maintain systems to ensure safe operations for both guests and staff.\n\nAs part of the responsibilities, the manager will develop standard operating procedures to maintain consistent and efficient facility operations. The role also demands physical ability to handle lifting and carrying of objects up to 45 pounds independently and heavier weights with assistance. Prior experience managing lodging facilities, RV parks, or campgrounds is desirable, and certifications such as the Certified Hospitality Supervisor (CHS) are advantageous. The manager must have knowledge of safety practices and be able to build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
