The role of Area Director of Sales and Marketing is a high-impact, full-time position based on-site at Home2 Suites Austin South. The position involves leading and accelerating commercial revenue growth across the multiproperty Hilton portfolio. The Area Director is responsible for crafting and implementing sales and marketing strategies to strengthen market dominance across these key Texas locations. They operate as the primary commercial leader and strategic architect, utilizing disciplined analytics, competitive intelligence, and a forward-thinking approach to maximize market opportunities and performance.

This pivotal role entails extensive travel, approximately 25% of the time, to engage clients, conduct sales missions, and collaborate cross-functionally within the territory. The Area Director serves as a trusted business partner to both the General Manager and Vice President of Sales and Marketing, driving long-range sales strategies, optimizing segment mix, and elevating brand presence across Austin, Tyler, Frisco, and Bastrop markets.

The ideal candidate for this role possesses strong commercial acumen, leadership skills, and a proven ability to develop markets and cultivate high-value relationships. They must adeptly manage sales efforts across multiple properties with diverse demand patterns, lead a distributed team of four sales professionals, and execute sales initiatives that translate into sustained revenue growth and market share gains. Furthermore, the Area Director is expected to excel in business transient sales, group sales strategy, long-term stay business development, and project or construction segment management. Compensation for this full-time, permanent position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 USD, with bonus opportunities of up to 50% quarterly based on quarterly earned wages. Job Duties

  • Capture project-based accounts such as construction teams and engineering crews
  • Lead sales efforts across a three-property portfolio adapting strategies to each market
  • Evaluate demand trends, analyze STR data, and adjust competitive positioning
  • Optimize pricing strategies and channel mix to drive occupancy and market share
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate buyers and local business influencers
