- high school diploma or equivalent
- experience in food preparation for large groups
- ability to follow directions and lead a team
- certification in kitchen safety such as ServSafe or equivalent
- weekend availability

Job Duties
- maintain safe and sanitary conditions in the kitchen dining room and related storage areas
- maintain a posted schedule to ensure the kitchen is adequately staffed at all times
- maintain an up-to-date inventory of all food and supplies
- ensure that all menus are followed
- properly prepare food
- serve meals on time
- properly rotate food using leftovers as quickly as possible
- check freezers and refrigerators daily
- ensure the security of the kitchen and stock
- assist with time cards for kitchen personnel
- assist in planning and determining food quantities as necessary
- work weekend shifts
