Job Description
Managed by HHM Hotels, a reputable hospitality management company known for delivering exceptional guest experiences, the Holiday Inn Resort is a premier destination that prides itself on quality service and a welcoming atmosphere. As part of the Holiday Inn brand, the resort offers a blend of comfort, convenience, and consistently high standards of cleanliness and safety to its guests. Located in a vibrant and scenic area, the property features a range of amenities, including pools and sauna facilities, making aquatic safety and management a critical component of its operational excellence.
The Aquatics Supervisor is a vital role within the resort’s team, tasked with overseeing the daily operations of the Aquatics Department. This position requires a strong leader with a team-oriented mindset who can supervise lifeguards and slide attendants while promoting a positive and safe workplace culture. The role involves ensuring all operational and safety procedures are strictly followed to safeguard the well-being of guests using the swimming and sauna facilities. This includes maintaining order by enforcing pool rules, conducting rescues and administering first aid when necessary, and keeping the pool and sauna areas clean and well-organized.
This supervisory role demands an individual with excellent communication skills who can interact effectively with guests, staff, and management alike. The Aquatics Supervisor will coordinate with other departments to foster teamwork and consistent quality service throughout the resort. Additionally, the position entails responsibilities such as conducting pre-shift meetings, identifying and reporting any safety hazards, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of emergency procedures as stipulated by the Holiday Inn Resort standards.
The work environment is dynamic and physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for long periods, swim continuously, and manage emergency situations with composure. The candidate must be certified in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid and demonstrate competency in critical aquatic rescue skills such as treading water and pool bottom retrievals. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed, is essential. The role offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills within the hospitality and leisure industry while contributing to the safety and enjoyment of resort guests.
