As a Maintenance Technician at InterSolutions, candidates will be entrusted with a wide range of duties including completing service requests, handling apartment turnovers, and maintaining communal areas to the highest standards. The technician will perform electrical, plumbing, appliance, and carpentry repairs, ensuring that residents enjoy a safe, functional, and comfortable living environment. The job requires not only technical skills but also the ability to communicate effectively with residents and other team members, providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive community atmosphere.
Candidates will be expected to manage the turnover process for vacant apartments, preparing these units efficiently for new residents. Key responsibilities include repairing electrical circuits, switches, and breakers; servicing and installing various household appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washers, and dryers; and conducting plumbing repairs involving toilets, sinks, vanities, disposals, and caulking. Minor carpentry work, including fixing doors, window screens, and blinds, as well as painting and drywall repairs when necessary, will also be part of the daily duties. Additionally, the role involves maintaining outdoor areas by removing bulk trash and discarded appliances and clearing drains and sewer lines up to 4 feet.

Job Requirements
- Basic knowledge of maintenance repair and service across multiple areas
- Previous apartment maintenance experience preferred
- HVAC certification is a plus
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and safely using ladders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work weekends as required

Job Duties
- Complete service tickets and work orders efficiently and accurately
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by managing the turnover process
- Keep grounds and common areas clean and free of debris
- Deliver exceptional customer service to residents
- Perform electrical repairs including circuits, switches, and breakers
- Service and install light fixtures and appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washers, and dryers
- Fix and replace toilets, sinks, vanities, disposals, and perform caulking
- Handle minor carpentry repairs including doors, window screens, and blinds
- Conduct painting and drywall repair as needed
- Remove bulk trash including discarded appliances
- Clear drains and sewer lines up to 4 feet
