The role of Apartment Leasing Consultant at InterSolutions is designed for individuals who enjoy working with people and thrive in fast-paced, customer-oriented environments. This position is located in San Francisco and offers competitive pay at $23 - $24 per hour. As an Apartment Leasing Consultant, you will act as a vital link between property management and residents, ensuring a seamless and positive leasing experience. Your primary responsibility is to engage with prospective and current residents to provide expert guidance and support throughout the leasing process.
In this role, you will greet prospective residents, conduct property tours, and assess their housing needs and preferences while working diligently to close leasing agreements. You will assist new tenants with all necessary paperwork, including applications, lease agreements, and employment or credit checks. Handling financial transactions such as collecting security deposits and rent will be part of your duties. Additionally, you will communicate community policies clearly to residents and follow up on leads that have not yet converted into leases. This role also requires managing lease renewals and retention efforts, ensuring that residents have a positive living experience that encourages long-term occupancy.
Apart from direct resident interaction, you will be expected to maintain the readiness of apartments for move-ins by inspecting units and adding any last-minute touches necessary. Utilizing creative marketing techniques to attract new residents will be an essential part of your role, as well as responding promptly to calls, emails, and inquiries, showcasing excellent customer service skills.
Successful candidates often come from backgrounds in real estate, retail, sales, leasing, hospitality, or customer service, all of which provide a solid foundation for managing resident relationships and leasing responsibilities effectively. Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and social media, is required, with knowledge of leasing software such as Yardi, Blue Moon, Entrata, Onesite, or MRI considered a valuable asset. Flexibility to work weekends as needed ensures you can meet the dynamic demands of the property management environment.

Job Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and exposure to social media
- Knowledge of leasing software a plus including Yardi, Blue Moon, Entrata, Onesite, MRI, etc
- Ability to work weekends as required

Job Duties
- Greet prospective residents and give tours while determining housing needs, preferences, and closing leads
- Assist new residents with leasing paperwork including applications, lease agreements, and employment/credit checks
- Collect security deposits, rent, and any other charges associated with resident move-ins
- Communicate all lease and community policies to new and current residents
- Follow up with all leads and prospects that did not lease
- Ensure apartments are move-in ready by inspecting and adding last-minute touches when appropriate
- Seek out new residents with creative marketing techniques
- Manage the lease renewal process and retention efforts
- Respond promptly to calls, emails, and inquiries
