Located in Norfolk, VA, InterSolutions serves a growing market with a reputation for professionalism, integrity, and dedicated service.
The Leasing Consultant position offers an exciting career pathway for individuals looking to transition into the multifamily housing industry. Ideal candidates may come from backgrounds in retail, sales, hospitality, leasing, or customer service and are eager to leverage their interpersonal skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This is a part-time or full-time role with a competitive pay rate of $16 to $20 per hour, reflecting the value placed on excellent customer service and leasing acumen.
As a Leasing Consultant, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional living experiences for both prospective and current residents by serving as a primary point of contact. The role reports directly to the property manager and encompasses various responsibilities designed to optimize resident satisfaction and leasing efficiency. Your daily activities will include greeting prospective residents, conducting tours, and determining their housing needs and preferences. You will assist with leasing paperwork, including application processing, lease agreements, and verifying employment and credit histories. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills to convey leasing terms and community policies clearly and persuasively.
Effective follow-up with potential residents who have not yet committed is an important part of your role, utilizing creative marketing strategies to attract new tenants. Ensuring apartments are move-in ready through careful inspection and preparation also falls under your responsibilities, along with managing lease renewals and retention efforts to maintain high occupancy rates. Promptly responding to resident inquiries via calls and emails is essential to foster positive community relations.
InterSolutions simplifies the hiring process with easy online applications and interviews, paired with paid training to help you excel in your role.
