Job Description
Destination Pet is a dynamic and innovative company revolutionizing the pet care industry since 2016. As a nationwide pet care provider, Destination Pet offers a comprehensive range of services including day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary care, all designed to elevate the lives of pets and their families. The company prides itself on being more than just a typical pet or vet care center – it is a connected community of pet-obsessed professionals who are dedicated to creating a seamless network of trustworthy partners that bring creativity and innovation every day. This culture of collaboration and passion is what truly sets Destination Pet apart in the industry.
At Destination Pet, the core mission is to ensure pets feel at home and their owners experience peace of mind, which is reflected in every service they provide. Their team, known as One Pack, works together with a unified goal to nurture and care for pets as if they were their own. The employment opportunity available is for an Animal Care Attendant at the Touch of Class location, a role that is perfect for individuals who speak 'fluent woof or meow' and thrive in an active, hands-on pet care setting. This full-time position offers a starting pay of $14.75 per hour plus tips, with potential adjustments based on experience. In addition, employees have access to earned wages anytime through DailyPay, along with perks such as telehealth services, 401K, and pet insurance.
The Animal Care Attendant role at Destination Pet requires someone with a true passion for animals and a willingness to get involved in a physically active environment, including lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for the duration of each shift. Responsibilities include maintaining clean, safe, and sanitized pet enclosures and play areas, serving meals and fresh water, monitoring pet health and behavior, reporting unusual observations to management, supervising playtime and activities, assisting with grooming tasks such as brushing and bathing, handling laundry, and ensuring each pet’s comfort and happiness. The role demands flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays since pets require care every day.
Destination Pet promotes diversity and inclusivity within its team and is committed to equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, age, disability, or other protected characteristics. The company also offers reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities during the application process. This supportive workplace culture encourages candidates who share a love for animals and a desire to be part of a caring, enthusiastic community to join the pack and help make tails wag every day.
