The role of Dish Washer at the American Girl Retail store in Los Angeles plays an essential part in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and sanitation within all food preparation and dining areas. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, this position requires an individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment where attention to detail and a strong work ethic are crucial. The Dish Washer will be responsible for ensuring all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans are cleaned thoroughly and meet health code standards. Additionally, the role involves maintaining overall kitchen and dining area cleanliness by performing tasks such as floor sweeping, garbage removal, mopping, scrubbing, and sanitizing surfaces.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform diverse physical tasks including standing for long periods and heavy lifting (30-50 lbs)
- Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in a restaurant environment preferred
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Certification from an accredited culinary institution preferred

- Certification from an accredited culinary school, college, or comparable institution preferred

Job Duties
- Ensure all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and pans are clean and sanitary according to health code standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining room area, equipment and tools, including floor sweeping, removal of garbage, and mopping/scrubbing/sanitizing all surfaces
- Assist with side work assignments such as stock rotation and replenishment, proper food storage and cleaning, and station set-up and take-down
- Work collaboratively with the team to build a positive work environment
