Job Description
Located in the heart of downtown Dallas, The Adolphus stands as a quintessential landmark in hospitality that has been revered for over a century. This iconic hotel is known not only for its grand European-style architecture and storied history but also for its commitment to delivering superior guest experiences that blend timeless culture with modern luxury. With 407 exquisitely appointed rooms, The Adolphus captures the grandeur and elegance of a grand European home, making it a preferred destination for travelers seeking both comfort and sophistication.
Within this luxurious setting lies the City Hall Bistro, The Adolphus's contemporary all-day dining venue. City Hall Bistro is celebrated for its bright and welcoming atmosphere where warm and seamless service complements an innovative menu crafted to reflect local flavors and the vibrant culture of Dallas. Guests are invited to engage with culinary offerings that are as thoughtful as they are delightful, ensuring every meal is not just eaten but truly experienced. The restaurant operates at the intersection of creativity and tradition, making it a dynamic spot for both residents and visitors.
The role offered is a vital part of this exceptional experience. It requires more than just familiarity with the menu—it calls for someone with a genuine passion for food, local culture, and fostering meaningful human connections. This position involves delivering and serving guests’ meals with care and attention, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, assisting with event setups and post-event services such as breakdown and cleaning, and most importantly, embodying a guest-first mentality that prioritizes hospitality above all. The individual in this role must be diplomatic, capable of solving problems effectively while creating a warm and welcoming ambiance that leaves a lasting positive impression on guests.
Being part of The Adolphus team means joining an environment where care for employees is paramount. As a member of the Makeready collection, the establishment offers a comprehensive suite of benefits designed to support the health, happiness, and well-being of all team members. These include accommodating paid time off and PTO exchange programs, medical, dental, and vision insurance, pet insurance, a company-matched dependent care and 401k plan, a student loan repayment program, among other ancillary benefits. The Adolphus also prides itself on its Guiding Principles, which define collaborative and successful teamwork. These principles are not only policies but lived values that contribute to the hotel's continued success.
Furthermore, Makeready LLC and its affiliated entities champion a workplace culture where diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental. The company does not tolerate discrimination of any kind and supports an environment where every employee can be their authentic self, contributing equally and thriving based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and performance. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a historic and visionary hospitality group dedicated to excellence and genuine connection.
