The AM Restaurant Server at The Rittenhouse Hotel plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding food and beverage service that aligns with the hotel’s brand standards and sustainability initiatives. This role involves serving guests in a courteous and friendly manner, ensuring their satisfaction throughout their dining experience. Servers are responsible for taking orders accurately using the point of service system, delivering food and beverages promptly, and handling transactions efficiently. The position requires maintaining a well-stocked service station and ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of dining areas by setting and clearing tables.

Additionally, the AM Restaurant Server is expected to assist with other food and beverage functions during busy periods or staff shortages, such as bartending and bussing. The role demands awareness of guest satisfaction scores to continuously enhance service quality, as well as adherence to the hotel’s EarthView program that promotes sustainable operational practices. Safety is a priority, requiring servers to follow occupational safety guidelines and wear protective equipment as necessary. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous food and beverage experience required or equivalent training
  • Knowledge of POS systems
  • TIPS certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Take food and beverage orders and place orders in the point of service system
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Set and clear tables in dining areas
  • Stock service stations with items such as ice, napkins, or straws
  • Pick up orders from food preparation areas and ensure food is prepared accordingly
  • Prepare guest check and if appropriate complete payment transaction
  • Perform other food and beverage functions such as bartending and bussing in the event of staff staffing shortages or peak periods
  • Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
