The Hostess role at Marriott Phoenix Resort Tempe at the Buttes is integral to the guest experience, serving as the first point of contact for guests entering the dining area. This position involves greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and maintaining clear communication with restaurant staff and patrons. The Hostess ensures an organized, clean station and provides assistance to baristas by taking orders and processing payments. Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the Hostess contributes to a positive dining environment by ensuring tables are properly set and orders are prepared according to specifications. This full-time or part-time position requires flexibility with scheduling and the ability to work 30 or more hours weekly for full-time or fewer for part-time. Job Duties

  • Greet and direct all guests
  • ensure all tables are properly set before seating guests
  • answer phone properly and follow all reservation procedures
  • organize and maintain a clean station
  • assist barista in taking orders and enter into point of sales
  • collect payment and make correct change when necessary
  • prepare coffee and drink orders according to specifications
  • package and deliver food orders
