Job Description

The Original, located inside The Rally Hotel at McGregor Square in Denver, Colorado, is a vibrant and unique neighborhood eatery that has redefined the dining experience by beautifully blending timeless Americana inspiration with modern creativity. This establishment draws inspiration from a range of influences including the classic 1950s diner and the sophisticated railway dining cars of days gone by. The result is a nostalgic yet inventive menu and ambiance that appeals to a diverse clientele who appreciate a combination of comfort, classic flavors, and modern twists. The Original is known for its playful yet expert approach to dining, maintaining a balance between fun and professionalism. This inclusive environment is characterized by imaginative yet realistic culinary creations, all presented without pretension. The restaurant's atmosphere effortlessly shifts between old soul charm and a youthful spirit, making it a friendly, adaptable, and creative space. Every detail at The Original—from the staff and decor to the food and beverage offerings—is infused with personality and thoughtful design elements that tell a story.

The role being offered is a regular part-time position within The Original's Food and Beverage team. This position pays a competitive wage of $17.00 per hour and is essential in maintaining the restaurant’s high standards of cleanliness and customer service. The primary responsibilities involve clearing used tableware, napkins, and trash from tables, ensuring the dining area is promptly reset and ready for new customers. The role also includes maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of bus stations, assisting with restocking tables and service stations, and keeping the restaurant floors clean throughout the shift. The successful candidate will help uphold the smooth flow of operations by promptly supporting waitstaff with beverage refills and guest requests. This position requires a friendly and courteous demeanor, physical stamina to handle tasks like lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and the ability to perform continuous standing, reaching, and other physical activities typical of a dynamic restaurant environment. Although formal education and prior experience are not required, a basic knowledge of restaurant operations is expected. This job offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to join a creatively driven, welcoming team in a lively and historic part of Denver. In addition to competitive compensation, The Original offers several benefits for part-time hourly associates, including paid sick time, participation in a 401(k) program with company matching, access to employee assistance programs, pet insurance options, and discounts on hotels and restaurants. Employees can also participate in an attractive referral bonus program where they can earn up to $1,000 per successful referral. Working at The Original means becoming part of a community that values individuality and innovation, encouraging team members to contribute their unique personalities and ideas to the guest experience. This role is ideal for those who enjoy working in a fast-paced, friendly, and customer-focused environment and who want to be a key part of an establishment that has successfully merged classic American nostalgia with contemporary flair.
