We are currently seeking a talented Cook to join our culinary team and contribute to our commitment to exceptional dining experiences. As a Cook at Aloft Gainesville University Area, you will be responsible for preparing and supervising food across a variety of outlets including the restaurant, café, room service, employee cafeteria, and banquet services. This multifaceted role requires culinary expertise, creativity, and the ability to thrive under pressure to deliver dishes that consistently meet high standards of quality, portioning, and presentation.

In this key position, you will lead and assist kitchen staff to maintain efficient operations, ensuring that all food service areas run smoothly and elevate guest satisfaction. You will also play a vital role in anticipating challenges and resolving issues proactively to prevent disruptions, exemplifying strong organizational skills and a dedicated work ethic in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication is essential, as you will be expected to interact professionally with coworkers and guests, sharing information clearly and addressing concerns to maintain a harmonious and productive kitchen. Maintaining strict sanitation and safety standards is a priority to create a clean and safe workspace for the entire culinary team.

Ideal candidates will possess a Food Handlers Certification and have at least one year of experience, either as a culinary graduate or a professional cook in a hotel or related setting. The position demands the ability to work well under pressure, exercise sound judgment in quickly evaluating situations, and take initiative to ensure seamless service. As a member of the Aloft Gainesville team, you will have opportunities for growth and development within a supportive and dynamic hospitality environment.

This full-time role comes with a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability income protection, life insurance options, paid time off, and a 401k retirement plan. Additionally, we now offer daily pay options to provide flexibility and convenience. If you are passionate about culinary arts and ready to be part of a team that values creativity, professionalism, and guest satisfaction, we encourage you to apply and let your culinary talents shine at Aloft Gainesville University Area.
