Job Description
Aimbridge Hospitality is a leading global third-party hotel management company committed to redefining the hospitality industry through exceptional service, innovative solutions, and operational excellence. With a portfolio of diverse hospitality assets ranging from luxury resorts to select-service hotels, Aimbridge Hospitality prioritizes the guest experience and strives to create welcoming environments that meet the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and service quality. The company is recognized for its dedication to both fostering employee growth and achieving business success through dynamic leadership and teamwork.
This particular role is situated within two sister hotels located in the vibrant city of El Segundo, California – the Aloft El Segundo / LAX and the Fairfield by Marriott El Segundo / LAX. Both properties are known for offering travelers a unique blend of convenience, style, and comfort. The Aloft El Segundo stands out with its contemporary design and hip vibe, providing guests with proximity to major corporate offices such as Mattel, Raytheon, and Northrop Grumman, as well as easy access to Los Angeles International Airport via a complimentary 24-hour shuttle service. Guests can enjoy socializing at the W XYZ Bar, snacking on demand at re:fuel by Aloft, or relaxing in the re:mix lounge. The hotels embody a modern hospitality experience designed to meet the needs of both business travelers and leisure guests.
The Housekeeping Manager role at these dual branded properties plays a vital part in ensuring that the housekeeping department operates efficiently and upholds the high standards set forth by Aimbridge Hospitality. This is a full-time, exempt, management position that requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage various facets of housekeeping, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry operations, and coordination between front and back-of-house teams.
The successful candidate will be expected to work extended hours as necessary to fulfill their responsibilities, overseeing at least three full-time associates or their equivalents. More than half of their time will be dedicated to administrative, executive, and professional duties that involve exercising discretion and independent judgment. This means that the Housekeeping Manager must not only ensure that cleanliness and maintenance standards are consistently met but also handle budgeting, staffing, training, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
In addition, this role requires fostering an environment that encourages teamwork, motivation, and productivity among the housekeeping staff. The manager will be instrumental in implementing and maintaining policies that contribute to seamless operations and an exceptional guest experience. Positioning this role within the context of two well-regarded hotel brands underscores the importance of adaptability, multitasking, and an unwavering commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. Candidates interested in joining a dynamic, stylish, and guest-focused hospitality environment will find this position both challenging and rewarding.
