Job Description

Ho-Chunk, Inc. is a highly respected economic development corporation owned by the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska. With a steadfast mission to drive long-term economic growth and to create meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities for Tribal members, Ho-Chunk, Inc. has earned numerous awards and accolades for its impactful work in both the regional economy and Indigenous communities. As a Tribal-owned enterprise, it exemplifies strong Native American values that emphasize accountability, innovation, teamwork, and excellence in every aspect of its operations.

WarHorse Gaming is a division of Ho-Chunk, Inc. that focuses on gaming and entertainment, operating in partnership with the Nebraska Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association (HBPA). This division manages some of Nebraska's most historic horse racing venues located in Lincoln, Omaha, and South Sioux City. Combining state-of-the-art casino gaming technology with a deep commitment to local economic development and community engagement, WarHorse Gaming delivers a unique entertainment experience that goes beyond traditional casino offerings. Its initiatives not only create jobs but also foster economic vitality in the regions it serves.

Ho-Chunk, Inc., through WarHorse Gaming, is now seeking to hire a dedicated full-time Busser whose primary goal is to enhance guests' dining experience by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and readiness within dining areas. This position involves ensuring tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset promptly and that service stations remain well stocked. The Busser works in close collaboration with servers and other restaurant staff to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and guest service. Working within a fast-paced hospitality environment, the Busser facilitates smooth restaurant operations by supporting front-of-house services and creating a welcoming ambiance for all guests.

A successful candidate will have strong communication skills, a commitment to ethical service, and the agility to work efficiently in a bustling restaurant setting. The role demands an individual who is not only attentive to detail but also willing to embrace the core values of the company — being native owned and proud, accountable, team-focused, innovative, visionary, and committed to excellence. This role represents a critical support position that helps drive operational excellence and guest satisfaction, aligning perfectly with WarHorse Gaming's mission to provide premier regional entertainment.

The Busser position offers a competitive hourly wage of $16.00 and includes a comprehensive benefits package encompassing federal employees medical coverage, full insurance plans, 401K with day one vesting and company match, quarterly incentive programs, paid vacation, holiday and sick days, as well as a discounted meal program. The work schedule is full-time, with varying shifts that require flexibility to meet business demands including weekends, holidays, and potential overtime.

Working at Ho-Chunk, Inc. and WarHorse Gaming means joining a mission-driven team dedicated to economic advancement and community impact, grounded in strong Native values and a respect for diversity. The employer is committed to providing equal opportunity for all qualified candidates and encourages diversity in the workplace. This position not only offers career stability and professional growth opportunities but also the chance to contribute to a company that values innovation and inclusive progress.
