Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience in a similar role
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Basic knowledge of POS systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must comply with all health and safety regulations
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Willingness to participate in training programs and teamwork
Job Qualifications
- Must have at least one year of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced dining establishment
- Should enjoy serving individuals with the purpose of enhancing the dining experience
- Must be courteous, professional and outgoing
- Should have a good knowledge of customer service
- Must be organized and capable of handling multiple tasks at once
- Must maintain composure during busy periods
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
- Should have good communication skills
- Ability to work split shifts, weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of wine is helpful but not required as training is provided
Job Duties
- Greet members at table and provide service
- Present menu and provide detailed information about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies
- Prepare tables by setting up proper linens, silverware, and glasses
- Keep tables organized and presentable
- Ensure drinks and food orders are taken and delivered in a timely manner
- Inform members about daily specials
- Offer menu recommendations upon request
- Up-sell additional or promotional products when appropriate
- Take accurate food and drink orders using POS ordering software, order slips or tablets
- Check member's information to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for alcoholic beverages (Carding)
- Communicate order details to kitchen staff properly through the POS
- Communicate with managers on any special situations
- Verify member's information when opening tickets
- Serve food and drink orders in a safe and timely manner
- Practice proper service techniques
- Comply with opening and closing duties
- Check all utensils are in good condition
- Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
- Bus tables on time and follow dish dispensing procedures
- Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, menu changes, and service specifications for reservations or parties
- Follow all relevant health department regulations, TABC, and Health Code certifications
- Provide excellent customer service to members
- Maintain a well-groomed, polished image and professional appearance
- Be punctual and ready for each shift
- Demonstrate a teamwork mentality
