With nearly 6,000 dedicated aviation experts and enthusiasts, the company emphasizes excellence in service while fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment. Signature Aviation has earned certification as a Great Place to Work, reflecting its dedication to employee well-being, professional development, and community engagement. The company offers comprehensive benefits, various programs, and training resources aimed at supporting team members' overall health, financial wellness, and career growth. Signature Aviation is also deeply invested in volunteering and giving back, with initiatives that empower future aviation professionals, support veterans, and improve the neighborhoods where they operate.
The Airside Experience Specialist is a pivotal role within Signature Aviation’s private aviation terminal operations. This position serves as the face of the terminal, delivering a seamless, personalized, and welcoming experience to every guest, crew member, and aircraft. Balancing exceptional hospitality with operational support, the specialist ensures guests feel cared for from wheels down to wheels up. The role is dynamic and requires the specialist to operate ground service equipment, perform aircraft ground services, and engage guests with a professional and service-first mindset. Flexibility in schedule is essential, including working nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as the ability to thrive in outdoor environments around active aircraft and varying weather conditions.
The Airside Experience Specialist works closely with a team to ensure safe and efficient airside operations according to established policies and standard operating procedures. Responsibilities include collaboration with guests, clients, vendors, and aircraft crew members to meet numerous service needs such as fueling, de-icing, lavatory servicing, ground power and potable water services, parking, marshalling, wing walking, catering delivery, and towing. The specialist must proactively prepare for arriving and departing aircraft, identify open tasks, and maintain rigorous safety standards by promptly addressing any unsafe conditions or acts.
Beyond operational duties, the specialist is also tasked with providing professional and friendly guest service, exhibiting a positive and helpful attitude at all times to ensure every guest receives an exceptional experience. They are responsible for the safe operation of ground service equipment, loading and unloading luggage and cargo, providing courteous shuttle transportation when needed, and maintaining safe, clean, and secure ramp operations. Fuel handling duties encompass quality control, receipt, inventory, and accurate documentation.
The role requires understanding and compliance with all operational, safety, guest service, and security protocols—physical, cyber, and data—as mandated by Signature Aviation and airport regulations. The specialist must be vigilant in stopping work when unsafe conditions arise and follow emergency response procedures during critical events. Additionally, meticulous record-keeping of time worked and services performed is essential.
Overall, this role offers a unique blend of operational responsibility and guest-focused service, ideal for individuals passionate about aviation and hospitality. Working with Signature Aviation means committing to excellence in both safety and guest experience, supported by a company culture that values teamwork, continuous learning, and community involvement. Candidates who thrive in fast-paced, luxury-driven environments and are energized by the dynamic nature of runway operations will find this role fulfilling and rewarding.
