This job opening is for a full-time Airport Lounge Wait Staff position located at the Airport Dimensions-Sapphire Lounge by The Club. The hourly wage is set at $20. The role demands flexibility in shifts with open availability, catering to any shift as required, with more details shared during the interview. The Airport Lounge Wait Staff is crucial in enhancing the travel experience by providing efficient and attentive customer service within the lounge environment. This role includes serving made-fresh-to-order entrees, appetizers, desserts, and beverages, while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.

The wait staff member greets and seats guests, introduces menu specials, and provides knowledgeable recommendations, including meal, beverage, and wine selections. They must answer questions about menu particulars, allergens, and food preparation. Taking and relaying accurate orders to the kitchen, confirming with guests, and ensuring quality and presentation standards are also key duties. The role requires monitoring guest needs, responding promptly to requests, and handling any concerns or complaints with professionalism.

Physical demands are significant, including extensive walking or mobility, standing for long periods (often exceeding 8 hours), bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting items up to 35 pounds regularly, with occasional lifts up to 50 pounds. The employee must have good fine motor skills and sensory abilities such as taste and smell. Regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts are also essential. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol based on local city and state regulations
  • May require valid TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally 50 pounds
  • Ability to use hands and arms for handling and reaching
  • Ability to taste and smell
  • Must attend scheduled shifts punctually
  • Flexible availability to work any shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 1 year related experience
  • Knowledge of menu offerings and ability to provide recommendations
  • Ability to handle customer inquiries professionally
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow safety and hygiene standards
  • Must be at or over the minimum age to serve alcohol based on local regulations
  • Certification such as TIPS, TEAM, or equivalent alcohol-service certification if applicable

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests, present menus, and introduce specials or menu changes
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on meals, beverages, and wine, and answer questions about menu items, allergens, and preparation
  • Accurately take and relay orders to the kitchen, confirm orders with guests, and process them in the correct sequence
  • Check all items for quality and completeness, ensuring that presentations are attractive, appetizing, and consistent
  • Monitor guest needs, respond to requests, and address concerns or complaints with professionalism
  • Perform significant walking or other means of mobility
  • Stand or walk for extended periods throughout the entire duration of a shift
  • Reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds
  • Use hands to finger, handle, feel or reach with hands and arms
  • Taste and smell to ensure quality
  • Perform repetitive motions
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
