Job Description

The hiring organization is an established airline dedicated to providing comprehensive flight and customer service at an airport location. This company operates in a fast-paced airport environment, managing both indoor and outdoor service areas where temperature extremes are common. Known for its commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and efficient operations, the airline plays a vital role in ensuring smooth air travel experiences for passengers. Operating as a dynamic and customer-oriented airline, the company adheres strictly to FAA regulations and airport security protocols to maintain a secure and pleasant environment for employees and customers alike.

The airline is currently seeking part-time Airline Customer and Ramp Service Agents to join their team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities ranging from customer service activities at the terminal to operational ramp duties. The position offers a starting wage of $17 per hour and flight benefits after 90 days of employment. Work hours are flexible and vary based on flight schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with typical shifts lasting three hours but possibly extending when flights are delayed. Weekly hours may range from 3 to 12 hours depending on availability and seasonal flight changes.

As an Airline Customer and Ramp Service Agent, you will be responsible for providing total customer service to all individuals using the airport’s customer or charter services. Key functions include ticket processing, baggage checking, seat assignment, and providing timely information on arrival and departure procedures. You will handle various customer situations including denied boarding, where you may solicit volunteers and arrange accommodations such as hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when necessary. It is crucial to maintain compliance with FAA, airline, and airport regulations, enforce safety and security measures, and protect sensitive zones within the airport.

The role requires proficiency in assisting customers with special needs, ensuring their experience is smooth and welcoming. On the ramp side of operations, duties include cleaning aircraft, loading and unloading baggage, marshaling aircraft, and pushing back planes. The position demands excellent communication skills and the physical ability to perform tasks such as pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 70 pounds continuously. Work takes place in all weather conditions, which may involve extreme cold or heat.

The ideal candidate for this role is highly motivated, people-oriented, and friendly. They maintain composure under stress, exhibit attention to detail, and demonstrate a cooperative and positive attitude. Candidates must be 18 years or older, hold a valid driver’s license, pass a 10-year background check and a pre-employment drug test, and complete all required training programs.
